Q: Why use rechargeable Ni-MH and not alkaline batteries ?

A: Every year about 20 billion batteries are purchased worldwide. Many are of the alkaline type which are discarded after a single use.

Thanks to recent developments in both batteries and battery chargers, alkaline batteries can be easily replaced with high capacity, environmentally friendly rechargeable Ni-MH which are much cheaper to use.
In a digital camera, a Ni-MH cell will run for 3 or 4 times as long per charge as they would on an alkaline battery. Alkaline batteries were not designed to meet the very high power demands of today's electronic devices.

Especially if you use lots of AA or AAA batteries for high drain devices such as digital cameras, portable CD or MP3 players, PDAs, toys and games, camera flashes, GPS, or other portable electronics, it is proved that you can save a lot of money by using rechargeable Ni-MH batteries.
